IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON PEDIATRIC CANCER
Poor families affected the most: As most of the Government/ Trust hospitals are now converted to COVID centers, non-COVID poor patients are facing difficulties in finding suitable alternatives.
Mandatory Covid tests for all: During these times of the ongoing pandemic situation, families are struggling to pay for Covid tests every time a child has to get admitted for chemotherapy.
Lack of government funds: There is delay in receiving all Govt funds (PM/CM/ others) that serve as one of the main sources of funds. Now families are looking up to NGO’s like us to meet their financial needs.
Break in the treatment of kids: The pandemic has added to the woes of parents. Many of them have lost their jobs or income sources and are struggling hard to arrange funds for the treatment of their child.
